저는 따뜻하고 격식에 얽매이지 않는 유쾌한 선생님이며, 학생들과 진정한 관계를 맺는 것을 매우 중요하게 생각합니다. 많은 학생들이 저와 오랫동안 함께 수업을 듣고 있는데, 이는 학생들과 쌓는 관계와 제가 각 학생의 개별적인 필요, 관심사, 학습 스타일을 이해하려고 노력하는 덕분이라고 생각합니다.
체계적인 교육과정을 따르지만, 모든 학생이 같은 방식으로 배우기를 기대하기보다는 각 학생에게 맞춰 조정합니다. 제 수업은 명확한 문법 설명, 정확한 피드백, 그리고 언어에 대한 자연스러운 감각을 기를 수 있는 풍부한 기회를 제공합니다. 또한, 학습 내용을 다지는 데 도움이 되도록 숙제를 내주지만, 기대치는 현실적이고 지속 가능한 수준으로 설정합니다.

I believe that learning a language is about much more than memorising vocabulary and grammar: it's about discovering a new way of understanding and experiencing the world.
I'm a warm, informal and good-humoured teacher, and I place great importance on building genuine connections with my students. Many of my students have stayed with me for years, something I attribute to the relationships we build and my commitment to understanding each person's individual needs, interests and learning style.
Although I follow a structured curriculum, I adapt it to each student rather than expecting everyone to learn in the same way. My lessons combine clear grammar explanations, precise feedback and plenty of opportunities to develop a natural feel for the language. I also assign homework to help consolidate what we learn, while keeping expectations realistic and sustainable.
With a background and strong interests in literature, etymology, culture and science, I love bringing these subjects into my lessons. I enjoy explaining not only how a language works, but also why it works the way it does, including its peculiarities, expressions and cultural context.
