안녕하세요! 저는 브라질 출신 영어 선생님 카밀라입니다. 현재 포르투갈 포르투에 살고 있어요. 지난 20년 동안 "영어를 다 이해하는데 막상 말해야 할 때면 머리가 멍해져요"라고 하던 분들이 자신감 넘치는 영어 회화 실력을 갖출 수 있도록 도와왔습니다.
저는 CELTA 자격증(케임브리지 대학교)과 교육학 학위(상파울루 대학교)를 보유하고 있습니다. 20년 넘게 어린이, 청소년, 성인, 그리고 네슬레, 노키아 같은 기업의 직원들을 포함한 다양한 직장인들을 가르쳐왔고, 저만의 영어 프로그램을 개발 및 운영하고 다른 선생님들을 양성하기도 했습니다.
저에 대해 조금 더 말씀드리자면, 저는 음식과 여행, 두 가지에 열정적입니다. 한 나라의 음식은 그 나라 문화를 가장 잘 보여주는 표현이라고 생각하며, 앤서니 보댕처럼 단순히 관광객이 아닌 진정한 여행자가 되려고 노력합니다. 남편과 친구들을 위해 요리하는 것을 좋아하고, 영화, 문학, 언어, 역사에도 관심이 많습니다. 포르투에 있는 제 집에서는 두 마리의 고양이와 함께 살고 있어요. 🐱 저도 호기심이 많아서 당신의 나라와 문화에 대해 배우는 게 정말 기대돼요. 최고의 대화는 바로 그런 곳에서 시작되잖아요.Hi! I’m CELTA-certified (University of Cambridge) with a degree in Pedagogy (University of São Paulo). Over 20 years I’ve taught children, teenagers, adults and professionals, including corporate teams at companies like Nestlé and Nokia, and I’ve designed and run my own English programs and trained other teachers.
A little bit more about me: I’m passionate about two things: food and travel. I believe a country’s cuisine is one of the highest expressions of its culture, and like Anthony Bourdain, I try to be a traveller, not a tourist. I love cooking for my husband and friends, I’m into cinema, literature, languages and History, and I share my home in Porto with two little cats. 🐱 I’m also a genuinely curious person, so I can’t wait to learn about your country and culture too. Some of the best conversations start exactly there.

저와의 수업은 이런 식입니다. 제 수업은 안전하고 편안한 공간입니다. 여기서는 절대 여러분을 평가하지 않습니다. 실수는 배움의 과정일 뿐이며, 저는 여러분이 실수를 긍정적으로 바라볼 수 있도록 도와드릴 것입니다. 저는 모든 학생에게 인내심을 가지고 대합니다. 영어를 처음 배우는 초보 학생이든, 세부적인 부분을 다듬고 싶어하는 고급 학습자이든 상관없이 말입니다. 만약 빠른 결과를 원하신다면, 목표 달성을 위해 좀 더 체계적이고 적극적인 수업을 진행할 것입니다. 저는 풍부한 경험을 바탕으로 단순히 회화만 가르치는 것이 아니라, 여러분의 필요에 맞춰 수업을 구성합니다. 유창성 향상, 전문적인 영어 실력 향상, 취업 면접 준비, 시험 대비 등 여러분의 목표에 정확히 부합하는 수업을 제공합니다.
실제 사례를 하나 들자면, 제 학생 중 한 명은 영어로 취업 면접을 보는 것조차 어려워하다가 자신감 있게 면접에 임하고, 모든 채용 과정을 영어로 진행하게 되었습니다. 이러한 변화를 볼 때 저는 가장 큰 보람을 느낍니다.What lessons with me are like: My classroom is a safe, welcoming space. You will never be judged here: mistakes are simply part of learning, and I’ll help you see them that way. I’m patient with everyone, whether you’re a nervous beginner or an advanced speaker polishing the details. If you want fast results, I’ll be more structured and demanding to get you there. And because of my experience, I don’t just “do conversation”: I build a course around exactly what you need, whether that’s fluency, professional English, job interviews, or exam preparation.
A real example: one of my students went from being unable to get through a job interview in English to interviewing with confidence, and taking part in full selection processes entirely in English. That transformation is what I love most.
