About Me

Translated

Hello! I'm Eva, a language teacher with extensive experience teaching students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds, from children to adults. I have a university degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures and International Cooperation, as well as a master's degree in Postcolonial Literature. Over the years, I have taught in diverse contexts, from schools to individual and online lessons, working with students with very different needs and goals. I teach Italian and English and consider language teaching above all a journey of discovery and communication. That's why I don't use a rigid method: I adapt my lessons to each student's level, goals, personality, and learning style. In my lessons, we work on conversation, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension, using both structured materials and authentic content related to the student's daily life, culture, and interests. I enjoy creating an environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn without feeling judged. At the same time, I work carefully on accuracy and linguistic awareness, because I believe that feeling comfortable and truly understanding how a language works are two complementary aspects. Whether you want to learn Italian from scratch, improve your conversation skills, prepare for a trip, or simply feel more confident when speaking, we'll create a program that's right for you.

About My Lessons

Translated

My lessons are personalized and tailored to the specific needs of each student. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all method: level, objectives, personality, time available, and learning style influence how we structure the course. During lessons, we work on: conversation and fluency, to learn to communicate naturally and confidently; grammar, with clear and practical explanations; vocabulary, through real-world situations and topics related to your interests; pronunciation and listening comprehension; reading and writing; Italian for everyday life, travel, study, or work; Italian culture, when it can be useful for better understanding the language and the context in which it is used. I use different materials depending on the level and objective: texts, exercises, dialogues, authentic content, audio, video, quizzes, and conversation activities. I like to alternate moments of more structured work with more spontaneous activities, always maintaining a balance between grammatical accuracy and communication skills. Error correction is tailored to the individual: some students prefer immediate correction, while others need to develop greater confidence and fluency first. In both cases, the goal is not simply to correct, but to help you understand the error and gradually become more independent. You don't have to arrive at class knowing everything or do a lot of homework. If you have time and desire to practice between classes, I can offer targeted activities; if you're short on time, we'll work effectively during the class. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have a good level of Italian, the program will be tailored together based on your specific goals.
